US: Guardians of the Galaxy ranges on the way from Hasbro and Rubie's

The expansive list of partners for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has been revealed, with product lines from the likes of Hasbro, LEGO and Mad Engine set to launch mid-June.

Different aspects of the upcoming superhero have inspired certain ranges, with Rocket Raccoon proving a 'true breakout character' while Star-Lord’s obsession for the Eighties has spawned a range of nostalgia apparel and accessories.

Products in the range include Hasbro’s 10” electronic figure, LEGO’s The Milano Spaceship Rescue construction set, Freeze’s 80s-inspired apparel, iHome character speakers, Mad Engine’s Groot and Rocket t-shirts, Funko’s vinyl bobble heads, Rubie's and Disguise’s Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon costumes and back-to-school backpacks and stationery from Fast Forward and Innovative Designs.

"It is always exciting to launch something new in consumer products, as we did with Iron Man in 2008," said Paul Gitter, senior vice president, licensing, Marvel at Disney Consumer Products.

"By showcasing what is unique about this amazing new film we are able to develop a third Marvel franchise that can be at retail alongside our powerhouse franchises of The Avengers and Spider-Man. Continuing to diversify the Marvel offerings for consumers is a key strategy of ours."
