US firm acquires Galt

Cheshire-based James Galt has been acquired by US art and craft firm, Elmer?s.

The acquisition represents Elmers' first international investment and adds to its acquisition of the Scientific Explorer, Giddy Up and Color Loco brands in 2006.

Bruce MacDougall, president and CEO of Elmer's said: “This acquisition complements and strengthens Elmers' strategic focus and leadership in our core growth categories. As our first international acquisition, we are excited about the global opportunities now available to support our long-term growth strategy."

Terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed.
