Treasure Trove will also take on the marketing for the construction brand and plans to TV advertise the range in 2010.
Treasure Trove’s sister company Education Essentials will also be on board to develop a strong programme for the schools market to help underpin the company’s activity.
Treasure Trove’s Kim Carter commented: “We are really excited about this product range, it is hugely innovative and has come a long way in the last 12 months. We see it as one of our five core drive brands in 2010.”
Inventor and owner of Uberstix, Dane Scarborough, added: “This is a great partnership for us and the brand, Treasure Trove’s expertise in this sector is exactly what the brand needs to be firmly established for the long term. See you all at London Toy Fair.”
Uberstix is the construction system designed to work with every other construction toy on the market and rubbish. The new Scavenger series allows kids to recycle plastic bottles, bits of cloth, string etc to build the models.
The brand is being exhibited from today at Design Event 09 Newcastle, (October 16-25th) and will be on show at the Design & Technology Show Birmingham (November 19th - 21st).
