Treasure Trove will launch two new magnetic construction concepts from Plastwood, after the two firms formed a partnership in 2001 with Geomag.
Kliky is specifically designed for the infant market with very large pieces to try and encourage a child’s early interest in construction. The World range takes the concept to the next level by introducing characters and animals that can be put together.
Treasure Trove will also run selected products from the Supermag range, which targets children from the age of six.
Robin Bennett, the firm’s MD said: “With all the expertise within both Plastwood and Treasure Trove and this exciting product development, we firmly believe that we will lead the market yet again in this category by the end of 2008.
“With Magnetix finding a need to re-brand and re-design its magnetic construction product, and the company now producing Geomag in administration, it is the ideal time to re-enter the sector. Plastwood’s commitment to innovation, and total focus on quality and safety provides a great opportunity.”
