Trading Standards gives advice

County service sets fine example as it assists retailers and consumers with recalls.

Warwickshire Trading Standards Service is leading the way with its advice to retailers on how to comply with product recalls.

Officers are also conducting spot checks on stores to make sure they have removed all toys deemed potentially hazardous.

Mark Ryder, head of Warwickshire Trading Standards Service told the Stratford Observer: “Once it became apparent that the toys posed a risk, our officers set about supporting retailers in removing the affected products from their shelves”.

“We are committed to protecting the consumer and will be following up stringently to ensure that Warwickshire’s retailers carry out the recall thoroughly and correctly,” he said.
