TP Activity Toys, maker of trampolines, climbing frames and other outdoor activity sets has gone into administration. Around 100 are believed to be at risk of redundancy.

Administrators Geoffry Martin said the company’s financial difficulties stemmed from 'increasing overheads and its inability to carry out a refinancing.'

Managing director Chris Martyn-Smith said: "It is a very sad day and the directors want to thank the many employees who have been such an important part of building the business over the last 50 years."

TP Activity Toys has been trading for over 50 years and generated sales of £12 million this year.

Subsidiary Muddy Puddles, a supplier of kids outdoor clothing, is not included in the administration.
