Toys highlighted in inflation rise

Toys are one of the products mentioned as a contributor to recent rises in inflation.

The CPI rate of inflation rose from 3.1 per cent in September to 3.2 per cent in October.

However the headline rate of Retail Prices Index (RPI) inflation, which includes housing costs, fell slightly to 4.5% from 4.6%.

The main upward pressure on the inflation rate came from fuel prices, financial services and toys and games according to reports.
