Brainstorm will be showcasing Uncle Milton Explore It!, the new World Alive and Glowstar ranges as well as its licensed Indiana Jones line-up.

Uncle Milton’s Rainbow in My Room uses multi-coloured LEDs to recreate a rainbow arc onto a wall or ceiling. Moon In My Room is a unique room accessory for kids with a built in light sensor that illuminates the moon when it gets dark.
The remote-controlled, motorised Solar System Mobile has nine detailed planets that actually orbit the sun, plus a 15 minute audio tour of the solar system.

The Remote Controlled Tarantula has light up eyes and an authentic spider-like movement, with realistic furry texture.

Aquasaurs kits contains live eggs and food - just add water to hatch. They begin to grow within 48 hours and can grow up to 5cm.

Cosmic Glow from Glowstars is a range of high quality plastic glow-in-the-dark shapes, with five different themes.

There are new products in the daylight-visible Glow 3D Disney range with additional large room decorations including Tigger, Tinkerbell and Sleeping Beauty, plus Disney Cars in five different sizes. New for 2008 is a range of Spider-Man Glow 3D items, developed in conjunction with Marvel.

Also new for 2008 is the World Alive Insect Kit range, including the Butterfly Kit, Stick Insect Kit and the Ladybird Kit, allowing children to witness the remarkable life cycle of insects as they develop. With the World Alive Botanicals range children can grow a selection of weird and wonderful plants.

A new line of products based on the Indiana Jones movies will be released in Autumn 2008.

Brookite will be showing its 2008 range of helicopters plus all the new kites launched at the beginning of the year.

The Pirate Boat and the Shadow are selling particularly well and there has been huge interest in the new range of kite kits. With Disney kites are also now available.

The Phantom Sport Kite is featured in the spring/summer Toymaster catalogue, retailing at just £8.95.

Corinthian is another firm making a return to the Toymaster Show this year.

Over the last two years it has successfully overseen a major development programme of its In My Pocket toy range, and is now looking forward to presenting Puppy In My Pocket favourites and new Jungle In My Pocket lines for Christmas.

The firm is inviting all independents to its stand to discover what plan-o-gram opportunities are being offered via discounts and free product show deals. The show will also be the stage for the unveiling of the two new large playsets for autumn/winter – the Pocketville Hospital at £19.99 and the Jungle Tree Tops Lodge with lights and sounds at £29.99.

DKL will be exhibiting Hama bead kits including new Playboards, Disney, Ballerinas and Fashion Girls sets.
Uniset’s latest Magic Stickers range includes licences, such as Spiderman and Ratatouille, to tie in with film and TV releases.

Also on show will be the Wonderworld wooden toy Eco range aimed at raising children’s environmental awareness, and the new collection of wooden dolls houses.

Sylvanian Families and Gormiti are Flair’s main focus.

The collectable Gormiti figures are based around five natural elements and are sold in foil blind bags which drive the desire to collect. Centrepiece of the collection is the Island of Gorm Play Set. It includes a sky platform refuge for the creatures of the air, plus a game board perfect for displaying other play sets available, and is compatible with all the collectable figures from Series 1 and 2.

Sylvanian Families comes with new play sets and themes for 2008.
Star of the show is the new Old Oak Hollow Treehouse. It has many levels all enclosed within, or set amongst, the branches of an ancient Oak. Resting on the side of a lake, the building has its own water wheel and riverboat plus decking and terraces too.

Creative play concepts for girls Pom Pzazz makes pom poms which can then be used to decorate bags, hats, scarves and more, whilst Teeny Meez is about designing stylish miniature T-shirts and accessories which can be displayed on the mannequin provided.

Gibsons is launching six new puzzles at the Toymaster show, to complement the 50 launched earlier this year.

New 1000-piece titles include Two by Two, a humorous portrayal of the many animals boarding Noah’s Ark, by new artist Eric Dowdle, and a classic piece of British nostalgia entitled The Sweet Shop by puzzler’s favourite Kevin Walsh.

Based on observations of his own daughter, Mike Wimmer’s No Interruptions is an image of a young girl telling a bed time story to her teddy bears. Also included is one of the popular 500 extra large piece puzzles which takes a detailed look at the inside of a Victorian Doll’s House, by artist Gale Pitt.

New games now available include Party Pass the Bomb, a party version of the award winning game, and a combined chess and draughts set.

The show will also provide another chance to see Gibsons traditional wooden games which have received some very special treatment with new packaging across the entire range. Gibsons use of re-forested materials is a major selling point and the products environmental credentials have been further enhanced, ensuring wide appeal to the young and old.

Golden Bear will have a number of offers exclusive to the show. The firm has an extensive new range for 2008 with key brands including Charlie and Lola, My First JCB, Hana’s Helpline, Shaun the Sheep, Noddy and the ever popular Thomas and Friends range.

Great Gizmos will offer new additions to its range of craft and science kits.

The Green Science collection will keep environmentally friendly youngsters busy experimenting with everyday household items, making robots, discovering alternative energy sources such as a Dynamo Torch.

Also on show will be the new Windmill Generator. With which kids can learn how to generate and harvest power from the wind.

The newly introduced Window Mosaics feature designs such as a Princess, Mermaid or Fairy.

Another craft project is the My Very Own Fairy Journal, a craft box with a fairytale theme. It encourages girls to create their own butterfly shaped fairy journal with decorations and pictures. There’s also a flower press included to create petal fairies.

Lastly, the Easy-to-do Princess Doll Making Kit includes everything to make a princess doll, give her a name and make it official with her own birth certificate. With no pins or needles needed this kit is simple and easy to do.

Marbel will be returning to the Toymaster show for a second time this year.

The stand has doubled in size for this year’s show to accommodate the ever-increasing Marbel range. With the addition of over 100 new products in January 2008, including new lines from the award winning Plan Toys and I’M Toy.

Guide to Toymaster 2013

The Toymaster show, Harrogate continues to be one of the must-attend events in the industry calendar. The many deals on offer mean suppliers come away with new orders and business, while members get value for money and tend to do the majority of their buying for the Christmas season.
