Toy Trust announces Ball total

The Toy Trust has revealed the total raised at its recent inaugural Summer Ball.
Publish date:

This year the Toy Trust changed its traditional November Ball for a Summer Ball which was held at Beaumont House, Old Windsor. Some £43,000 was raised on the night through a media auction and a prize draw.

Toy Trust chairman Robert Mann told ToyNews: “Not only was £43K raised on the night for the Toy Trust but the event benefited from some good weather, which allowed for the champagne reception to be held on the patio. 200 guests enjoyed a fabulous meal and danced the night away to a live band and disco. The only negative to this event was the unfortunate closure of the night porter service and therefore no bacon sandwiches at 2am.

“Numbers were slightly down on the November Ball but this was due primarily to the event this year clashing with the licensing show, a belated wedding celebration and 50th birthday in the trade.

“No such problem next year with the event planned for 28th June 2008 venue and details to follow but next year’s event will feature a major cabaret performance and extravagant theme. Plan this in to your calendar now and remember there is no Toy Trust Ball in November.”

Toy Trust ready to ride
