The Toy Retailers Association picked out the winners after an extensive Mystery Shopper programme, with additional input from a judging panel including event sponsors Tomy, Ravensburger, Mattel, Falir and ToyNews.

Beating off all the regional winners was Overall Toy Shop of the Year, The Entertainer in Birmingham's Bull Ring.

"Our Mystery Shopper felt valued as a customer," said TRA president Val Stedham. "What a fantastic statement about this particular store."
