The maker of the Karizma Kidz doll range has been nominated for an award at The Inspiration Awards for Women.
Entrepreneur and mother of five Erika Brodnock created the dolls after research found that one in four children experience anxiety and depression when growing up.
The ragdolls are based on ‘affirmative characters’ that focus on building happiness, confidence and self-esteem in children.
Brodnock said: “I knew children learn best through play, so searched for toys and games that focused on emotional health and intelligence. There was nothing out there. I have been blessed in identifying the solution that my and so many other children are literally crying out for.”
The doll range consists of a princess, male and female superheroes and a wizard. Each one is designed to be an inspirational character that children can relate to.
The Karisma Kidz range will officially launch at the London Toy Fair in January.
