Toy industry Twitterwards winners named

Top Trumps, The Toy Detective and Halesworth Toys receive awards.

Online directory Toy Shop UK has announced the winners of its second annual Toy Industry Twitterwards.

The awards celebrate the best use of Twitter by toy suppliers, commentators and retailers.

The awards attracted over 400 votes from all sectors of the industry. 

The winners are as follows:

Best Supplier: Top Trumps (@toptrumps)

Best Commentator: The Toy Detective (@thetoydetective)

Best Retailer: Halesworth Toys (@halesworthtoys)

Toy Shop UK's Michael Hawkins said: "All three winners have shown an ability over the last 12 months to tweet with a catchy mix of creativity and humour, whilst still informing their audience about their key messages.

"Particular credit must be given to Nigel Kemp at Halesworth Toys who is the winner of the "Retailer" category for the second year in a row."
