Toy Fair figures up

New York event sees visitor numbers rise by more than ten per cent.

More than 13,000 buyers attended the annual event, an increase of 12 per cent on 2007 figures.

The total attendance figure, including buyers, trade guests and media, reached !8,305, also up more than ten per cent.

Exhibitors reported quick sales across the four days, with more than 7.000 new products unveiled.

Carter Keithley, TIA President said: “The energy and optimism at Toy Fair ’08 gives tremendous momentum to the year ahead. Consumers will be delighted with the creativity and innovation – and sheer range of the 7,000 toys that will be introduced this year.”
