Created to encourage exploration, adventure and imaginative outdoor play, The Gruffalo collection features interactive and creative toys, on show for the first time at Toy Fair.

Anthony Temple, Rainbow Designs’ managing director, said: “The Gruffalo is a modern day classic which needs no introduction and we are delighted to be unveiling our new wooden products at Toy Fair.

“The toys are fun, practical and refreshingly different from any other range on the market. They will inspire young children to take note of the natural world and it’s great to be offering toy retailers such a unique range of products.”

New wooden toys in the range include The Gruffalo Catcher, a bug and butterfly catcher; the Gruffalo Magnifier; the Gruffalo Woodland Creature Cabin and the Gruffalo Plant Press. Also new are Gruffalo Wooden Toys including the 28-piece Dominoes in bright colours and a Peg Puzzle featuring an array of animal characters from the tale.

Meanwhile, the Wibbly Pig range includes, The Wibbly Pig with Comfort Blanket and Wibbly Pig Bean Toys. New games for the property include the Wibbly Pig Mix and Match card game and the Wibbly Pig Wooden Shapes Puzzle. Also new is the Wibbly Pig Backpack featuring Wibbly’s soft face and wiggly ears.

Temple continued: “Wibbly Pig offers the winning combination for a toy character – he’s cute, contemporary and fun.

“Our new collection captures the essence of the original books, as it is simple, engaging and imaginative, whilst being fun and educational. We are delighted to be launching our new collection at Toy Fair and look forward to an extremely positive response from retailers and pre-schoolers alike."

Toy Fair visitors can see Rainbow Designs’ other licensed character toy collections including Stripy Horse, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, My First Paddington, Miffy Little Star, Beatrix Potter Once Upon A Time and The Enormous Crocodile on stand E40.
