Toy Essentials has been appointed as the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of Popar.

Popar is an award winning electronic play concept from the US which uses affordable Augmented Reality, 3D technology to create a unique, interactive and educational experience for children.

Use a Popar activity with a computer and it comes to life, enabling several layers of interaction and immersive play opportunities.

The initial Popar range in the UK will include four key product areas - Popar books, puzzles, charts and posters. Products focus on specific themes designed to appeal to primary school aged children.

"With a million children in the UK under the age of 12 now in possession of a smartphone, electronic play activity is increasingly in demand," said Sandra Cambridge, business director at Toy Essentials. "Popar is a perfect fit with the Toy Essentials portfolio with its emphasis on learning and target age group of children up to the age of 12."
