Topps Europe Ltd has been given the green light to develop a range of Minions inspired collectables.

Based on Universal Pictures’ Despicable Me franchise, the new licensing agreement will see the Topps deliver a Minions trading card game and a Minions Sticker Collection.

The two new lines will go on sale from June 4th this year, ahead of the release of the Minions movie on June 26th.

“We are delighted to be working with Universal and Illumination to bring pan-European markets our first-ever series of trading card and sticker collectables for Minions,” said Chris Rodman, vice president of Topps Europe.

“With the ongoing success of our other sports and entertainment brands, such as Marvel Hero Attax, Disney Frozen Activity Cards and of course Match Attax, we feel certain that our Minions series will be a success.”

The new Minions Sticker Collection from Topps features scenes from the film as well as facts, activities and more. There are over 170 to collect.

The Minions Sticker Collection Starter Packs (£2.99) contain a 32-page sticker album, a six-sticker sheet, a PVC stick-and-lift spread plus six packets of stickers. Packets of five stickers will retail at 50p each.

The new Minions Trading Card Game offers fans more than 170 cards to collect, including shiny cards and super-shiny Minions cards. Fans can enjoy playing the ‘Minions Go Bananas’ card game as part of this collection, which features the Minions, brand-new villains and scenes from the new film.

The Minions Trading Card Game Starter packs (£4.99) feature a collector guide, game mat, binder, goggle mask, one packet of cards and a Limited Edition card. Packets of eight cards will retail at £1 each.
