Following the success of its Attax brand, Topps is set to launch its first first rugby trading card series.

As an official partner of the England rugby team, Rugby Attax trading card game will be the only official 2015 England rugby card collection available in the category and will launch a month ahead of this year’s international rugby tournament.

Arriving at retail on August 13th 2015, the new collection will allow fans to look forward to new rugby ratings and new gameplay.

Every Rugby Attax card in the brand-new collection features the very latest players’ photos alongside player star ratings and a range of statistics, so that collectors can rank the stars according to passing, tackling, kicking, breaking, speed and strength.

“Given the significance of this year for the sport of rugby, we’re confident that this fresh addition to our Attax trading card game portfolio will be a big hit at retail,” commented Rod Pearson, Marketing Director for Topps.

“Having the official rights to the England rugby team and being the only licensed product in the category will give us a massive advantage in the market as this September’s event approaches.”

Rugby Attax Starter Packs come at an RRP of £4.99 and contain everything needed to get straight into a competitive game upon opening and include a game-ready play pitch, hard-backed collector binder, Rugby Attax collector guide and a free packet of trading cards. Packets of nine cards will retail at £1 and multipacks of five packets, including a Limited Edition, will retail at £5.
