Topps Europe has partnered with BBC Worldwide to produce a new Doctor Who Trading Card Game.

The product is due to hit shelves next year, and will include all the key characters and images from the last seven years of Doctor Who, including the latest series.

In addition, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who in 2013, Topps will be producing an authentic memorabilia line, which will span across half a century of the show's appearance on TV.

The new acquisition will bolster Topps' trading card product offering, and build on the success of its Doctor Who sticker collections.

"Doctor Who has always been a highly successful licence for us for our sticker collections, so we are very excited to have a brand new Doctor Who Trading Card Game to add to our portfolio," said Louise Ramplin, entertainment marketing manager at Topps Europe.

The new collection will include Collector Tins, Starter Packs and packets of trading cards.
