Classic card game Top Trumps is spearheading a new initiative designed to show today's kids how they can emulate top design minds from the modern era.
Alongside new social video network Rockpack, it is launching a Digital Heroes Top Trumps pack that will celebrate the individuals who have done most to shape our digital world.
The set will form part of the 2013 Top Trumps National Schools Tournament. This is free to enter, features over 3,000 schools and has the potential to reach 300,000 children aged seven to 11.
Top Trumps and Rockpack are keen to prepare children by teaching them about new technology, as well as the people behind the gadgets and websites they use.
"In the three years the Tournament has run, teachers have been effusive in their praise for Top Trumps," said Fiona Hortopp, head of marketing at Top Trumps. "Firstly, it's a superb method for camouflage learning - kids don't realise they're immersing themselves in, and engaging with, serious topics, because it's a fun way to learn.
"Consequently, it's a great way for teachers to tackle difficult and sensitive issues in an enjoyable way in the classroom."
Every school that enters the Tournament will receive a free welcome pack (worth over £35). This includes a Top Trumps Tournament Game, a Tournament poster and certificate.
