Today sees the opening of the first event dedicated to the fast growing appcessory category, with Toyology.TV's Pete Jenkinson manning the stands.
With Kurio, AppGear, AppToyz, Ravensburger, Alphasphere and Griffin all in attendance the event is designed to showcase the diversity of this new genre of app add-on.
"This year its all about the app market merging with toys and and events like this are invaluable to increase consumer awareness," said UK marketing director Tracey Devine of Inspiration Works.
Character Options’ marketing manager Colin Fox added: "We've already had some great exposure across multiple media for the AppGear range but to reinforce our commitment to this category we had to work with the Appletics team with this innovative event."
If you're in London and you fancy some hands-on appcessory action, then get yourself down to Ravensbourne College on the Greenwich Peninsula - accessible by the swanky new Emirates Cable Car (near Royal Victoria station).
The With the app market set to grow to an eye-watering $30bn by 2015 the appcessory category is set for considerable growth this year, as brands add to the category and help increase consumer awareness.
