The firm says it will allow it to deliver further growth in 2008 and beyond, providing greater focus on its product line which links in directly with expansion into new retail areas.

The new structure will incorporate three clear commercial channels headed up by Guy King, Tim Ives and Derren Plows in newly created commercial sector controller roles reporting to Ian Wickham, UK sales director.

Wickham commented: “When you consider the increasing diversification of the Tomy line embracing (amongst others) new, on-trend technologies as well as our highly successful core and licensed categories, and look to align that with future consumer purchasing trends, then you need to be in a position where you can manage this in the most efficient and effective way. These are very exciting times for us and with the structure we now have in place, we have a focused and committed team that truly believe in our brand and its potential at retail”
