The deal will see Turner Broadcasting channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang partner with the studio for Alvin and the Chipmunks and Horton Hears a Who.

Alvin and the Chipmunks, out this Christmas, mixes CGI and live-action and stars Jason Lee (My Name is Earl), TMi will create a 30-second spot and website. The website will be a chance for fans to sing along to three karaoke tracks from the chipmunks’ album due out to coincide with the film release. There will also be a competition on the site for a winner to host their own Chipmunk Karaoke party.

In Easter 2008 Fox is releasing a film of the Dr Seuss story Horton Hears A Who (pictured). Shot entirely in CGI the film is voiced by Jim Carrey in the title role and also features Isla Fisher. This will be the third Fox film that TMi creates a bespoke campaign for, details of which will be confirmed nearer the time.

Adam Eagle, Director of Sponsorship & Promotions at Turner Media Innovations says: “We’re excited to be working with Fox on these three great film releases at key periods of the year. Our relationship with Fox was fostered when both Fox and Vizeum attended a TMi open day in June this year showcasing our innovative ways of working. This is a fine example of how newly launched TMi is now developing long term media solutions for major clients such as Fox.”

Charlie Clapham, Senior Promotions Manager at Twentieth Century Fox adds: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with TMi again. Having delivered a fantastic promotion on Dark is Rising, they were the obvious choice for Alvin and Horton which are two major releases for Fox.”.
