The TIA has partnered with Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) to employ the MarketGate business process software.
The new software will make scheduling meetings easier and will also make the review of product information possible, before, during and after the event.
“The MarketGate software is specifically designed to help both buyers and sellers improve sales, reduce expenses and go to market faster and more efficiently,” explained Marian Bossard, TIA vice president of meetings and events.
Before the show starts, suppliers will be able to upload product information, which can be reviewed by buyers prior to the appointment.
During and after the show, exhibitors can use the software to automatically populate custom retailer forms or to generate customised product catalogues.
Retail buyers will also be able to create profiles that provide exhibitors with information about the outlet and the buyer they will be meeting.
Appointment scheduling and meeting follow-up also becomes much easier.
“The three major toy retailers in this country endorse the ECRM system and are expecting their buyers and their suppliers to use it,” continued Bossard.
“TIA’s decision to incorporate this software for Fall Toy Preview was driven by these major retailers expressing the need for an improved process from preview to purchase. Today, even though we are still weeks out from the show, the response from all participants has been extraordinarily positive.”
Post-show meeting notes can also be stored in the system and will be ready for immediate distribution. Additional features, including an Ad Comparison component, are also available.
Fall Toy Preview 2010 will take place Tuesday, October 5th to Friday, October 8th at the Dallas Market Centre.
