ThumbsUp has announced the opening of a new office in Istanbul, Turkey.

After the success of both its German and French offices, which opened in July last year, the company began looking at further European expansion and chose Turkey as its next venture.

ThumbsUp believes the country is at just the right stage of economic growth to recieve its range of toys and gifts.

The company also opened offices in Australia, in November, and in Brazil in March.

New trade websites have been developed for all of the international offices. You can see the Turkey one here.

Güçlü Gökozan will be heading up the Istanbul office. He said: “The ThumbsUp range has already become a hit in Turkey, with products such as the Camera Lens Cup selling well for online retailer BuldumBuldum.com.

“There seems to be a real appetite for innovative, design-led products right now and we expect this trend to continue. It’s also great to have a country-specific website for Turkey. The website is easy to navigate and showcases the ThumbsUp range in the best possible light; now we look forward to revealing ThumbsUp’s fantastic designs to our customers.”

Wojtek Kolan, head of business development at ThumbsUp, said: “We’re very much looking forward to working with Güçlü and his team on this new venture. We’re sure that they’re the right partner to distribute our range in Turkey - and after the reception of our products already on sale there, we’re confident that this will be a lucrative move for our company.”
