CBeebies is continuing to revamp itself, working on three new commissions focusing on community, relationships and musical expression.

Grandpa In My Pocket is a 26-episode preschool comedy drama by Adastra Creative. It tells the story of a seven-year-old boy and his grandfather who is in possession of magic shrinking cap, which he uses to create mischief.

Creator of Wonderpets, Josh Selig, has produced 3rd & Bird with CBeebies Production and Little Airplane Productions. It uses photo-puppetry animation and follows Samuel Lovebird, a young bird learning about family, neighbours and friends.

Topping the trio off is Carrie & David’s Popshop, an interactive music show present by Fame Academy stars Carrie and David Grant. 30 episodes have been scheduled which will run for 20 minutes each.

Michael Carrington, creative director of CBeebies said: “Young children will be captivated by these three new series which have been created to support their personal development and inspire their creativity and sense of fun”.
