Thomas Randrup leaves Revell

The firm's UK and Ireland country manager has overseen record increases in turnover in his 16 years with the firm.

After 16 years with Revell, Thomas Randrup - the firm's UK and Ireland country manager - is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.

The move means Jamie Mabbs has been promoted to head of sales UK and Ireland.

Randrup has overseen record increases in UK turnover thanks to continued domination in the plastic model kits sector, the success of the Star Wars licence and the expansion of the Revell Control range.

In recent years, he has spearheaded the firm's growth in the RC hobby sector with the launch of the UK Hobbico Division and brands such as Axial, Team Durango, Great Planes, FlyZone, RealFlight and Dromida.

During his time at Revell, Randrup was also part of the successful management buyout subsequently selling up to Hobbico Inc.

His last day with Revell will be August 4th.
