Star of ITVBe’s The Mummy Diaries and former TOWIE member, Billie Faiers has teamed with the UK doll brand Baby Annabell as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The partnership has been forged as a means of highlighting the benefits Baby Annabell in child development, learning to care for another and as a tool to help introduce a new sibling to the family.

Faiers herself broadcast the process of introducing a new sibling in front of the nation through her popular ITV series and has shared her own tips on how to successfully manage the scenario, such as keeping the same routine, encouraging them to take an interest, distract siblings during feeds, and get them to take a turn looking after the new member, having practised, of course, with a Baby Annabell before.

“I grew up playing with Baby Annabell so it’s really special to now be able to pass on a childhood toy to my own daughter,” said Faiers. “When Arthur was born, I was nervous to see how Nelly would react to a new baby taking her spotlight, but having a doll like Baby Annabell was a huge help - teaching Nelly how to hold a baby, take care of her and be gentle ready for her baby brother.

“The moment Nelly first saw Arthur all my worries disappeared, she was so excited to meet her baby brother and knew how to b gentle and caring. She feels like she has her own baby to look after just like mummy and daddy, it’s so sweet watching her copy Arthur’s daily routine and seeing them growing closer.”

Launching in September, Baby Annabell® has created a limited edition doll to celebrate 20 years of the brand – Baby Annabell® My Special Day, complete with a celebratory birthday outfit, party accessories including cupcakes and party plates, and eight lifelike functions.
