The LEGO Show has been renamed Brick 2014, and will be moving to a new location due to 'an insatiable demand for tickets'.

Originally set to be held at the 02 in May, the show will now take place at ExCeL London in November.

"We are very sorry we to move the show from The O2, but the speed and quantity of tickets sold determined that we need more than 20,000 sqm of space, which is bigger than The 02's exhibition space, and left ExCeL as the only sensible alternative to ensure we do not cause too much disruption to those visitors that have already purchased tickets," said Clive Morton, director of Brick 2014 - Built for LEGO Fans.

"I would like to thank everyone at The O2 for helping us to launch this show and we will push ahead with plans to make sure LEGO fans visit both venues."

The change in venue will allow for more fan built LEGO displays, more exclusive fan content and every ticket is now a full day ticket.

"ExCeL is one of Europe's leading event spaces that plays host to a significant number of world leading events every year," added Jeremy Rees, executive director, ExCeL London.

"The ExCeL team believe passionately about creating the best possible event experience for our visitors. Our world leading facilities include 40 bars and restaurants and parking spaces for over 3,000 vehicles.

"ExCeL also offers the organisers of Brick 2014 the opportunity to expand and grow the show for many years to come".

Brick 2014 will take place at ExCeL London from November 27th to 30th.
