The European Catalogue and Mail Order Days shortlisted The Dolls House Emporium, a designer and supplier of 1:12th dolls’ houses and accessories from hundreds of entries.

Designed to celebrate the excellence in direct and multi-channel retailing and distribution, ECMOD invited companies to enter its awards, which also included categories such as Best All Round Business, Best Online Business and Best Catalogue Makeover.

Entrants were then judged by a panel of experts with shortlisted businesses being invited to the awards ceremony. Held at the Lancaster London Hotel, the event was presented by news reader Dermot Murnaghan.

The Dolls House Emporium received its award in recognition for its continuous dedication to customer service over the past 30 years.

From its comprehensive Customer Relationship Management system, which allows detailed customer information to be stored effectively and securely, to regular offers and incentives tailored to specific customers, every business process is designed with the customer experience in mind.

The company also has an increasing online community built through its presence on Facebook and Twitter, alongside its own blog and forum, all of which allow customers to ask questions, provide hints and tips and interact with other likeminded people.

“It is a fantastic honour to receive this award, which is a testament to the dedication of all our staff,” explained Jackie Lee, MD at The Dolls House Emporium. “Since the company’s inception in 1979, the customer has always been at the forefront of everything we do, from the design of our houses and accessories, to the layout of our catalogue and website.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their support over the past 30 years and would like to ask them to continue sending us their suggestions and comments so we can make The Dolls House Emporium an even better company than it already is,” added Lee.
