Thames & Kosmos has revealed a trio of new additions to its EXIT: The Game range with the Forgotten Island, Polar Station and Forbidden Castle sets.

Capitalising on the popular exit room trend, the games will see the team begin locked in a room and together where they must solve a series of riddles and puzzles in order to unlock doors and reveal new riddles. Each correct solution brings players to another riddle and eventually, freedom. The clock is ticking and players must solve all of the puzzles as fast as possible – the faster the team escapes the room and the fewer hints they use on the way, the more points they earn.

“We’ve had great success so far this year with our first three EXIT titles, the appetite to bring the suspense and thrill of escape rooms into the front room has really been embraced in the UK,” said Joanna Drage, Sales Director at Thames & Kosmos UK.

The descriptions for each of the new sets read:

EXIT – THE FORGOTTEN ISLAND, where an idyllic sailing excursion takes a dark turn as players are capsized, knocked unconscious and awake on a mysterious island where everything is padlocked – Solve the riddles and escape the island.

EXIT – THE POLAR STATION, which has players in the Arctic as part of a large research organization, everything is strictly secret amongst several teams working in the polar conditions. An evacuation sounds and players try to escape but the doors are locked. Time to solve the puzzles to unlock the doors or meet an icy end.

EXIT – THE FORBIDDEN CASTLE, while on holiday in the mountains players take a trip to a medieval castle. On arrival there is no ticket booth, nor people around, so players explore the place in peace. As they enter the throne room, the big wooden door locks behind them. Solve the puzzles inside this mysterious castle to secure freedom.
