Techno Source’s tabletop games, based on the iconic Tetris video game, will be introduced at retail from 2011.

“Tetris is the most recognized casual gaming brand in the world,” said Eric Levin, president, Techno Source. “For more than 25 years, Tetris has been challenging the minds of people across cultures and generations with its addictive game play.

"Our tabletop games will offer Tetris fans around the world, from hardcore gamers to soccer mums, a whole new way to experience the Tetris effect.”

Henk Rogers, president and CEO, Blue Planet Software, added: “Techno Source is a natural choice of partner for Tetris because of its commitment to forward-thinking and high quality products.

"Over the last two-and-a-half decades, Tetris has been released on more than 30 gaming platforms, and we are thrilled that the game will be available as a tabletop game. This is exciting news for our fans.”
