As part of a new global licensing program, Dragon-I and Sound N Light will produce plush toys worldwide.

Set to debut at retail in spring next year, the animated plush from Dragon-I will record sounds and play them back at different speeds and pitches. Sound N Light’s interactive versions will incorporate motion and sound technology.

In the UK, Fine Makers has secured a licence for plush, gifts, collectables, and novelty items.

The initial round of licences, brokered by agent Beanstalk, also includes apparel and accessories, footwear, sleepwear and home décor.

"Talking Tom and the entire Talking Friends cast of characters’ transcendence beyond app stores to brick-and-mortar retailers is a testament to the Talking Friends brand’s rapidly expanding global fan base and the deep emotional connections with consumers that have been established," said Paul Baldwin, CMO of Talking Friends developer Outfit7.
