Tactic ramps up phone business

One year after UK debut, Tactic readies new assault for phone game range.

Less than a year after opening its UK office, Tactic is moving into overdrive with its range of mobile phone games, with volume orders underway and a 1,000 TVR ad campaign for the run-up to Christmas.

The firm’s range of £5.99 pre-paid mobile phone games includes Catchphrase and Beat the Intro.

Jeremy Pateman, managing director of Tactic UK said: “As I anticipated Tactic UK will start delivering in volume from July of this year primarily due to the development, availability of finished product and the timing of the UK office opening which was September 2006.

“Autumn/winter 2007 is looking good. The order book is healthy and the retail listings for the prepaid mobile phone game range have surpassed my expectations. Overall there were only two key multiples that have not bought into Tactic prepaid mobile phone game proposition. I am confident that they will review this decision post the collective sell-through data from July to December 2007.

“The retailers who have bought into this exciting gift and impulse purchase opportunity will benefit from the television advertising campaign during October, November and December which will deliver in excess of 1,000 spots with a 20 second commercial.”

In addition, the firm has taken on distribution of puzzle game Pentago and is developing games for MP3 players, iPods and an in-house creation called t.b.o.a.r.d.



Tactic grows on

Tactic UK continues to expand and has now moved to new premises to accommodate its growing team.
