SweetDreamers is celebrating a successful night at this year's Mother and Baby Awards where the firm scooped Gold in the Best Product for a Newborn category.

The firm was awarded the accolade for its Ewan the Dream sheep collection, a range of sleeping aides that mimic sounds from the womb to trigger a calming reflex.

Aimed at recognising product excellent and highlight the brands that parents can trust, The Mother and Baby Awards is now in its 20th year.

Lynda Harding, founder of SweetDreamers, said: "I was overwhelmed to have won.

"Mother and Baby magazine is an established and trusted resource for parents across the world, so to have been selected as the winner of the Best Newborn Product is a real honour, especially in the award's 20th year.

"I created Ewan following numerous sleepless nights after the birth of my sixth son. To know that I am helping parents across the globe is an amazing feeling and to gain this recognition from Mother and baby is just fantastic."

Ewan has already won various awards since market debut, including Gift of the Year 2011 and Gold at the Practical Parenting Awards.
