Premier League football clubs like Manchester United will be selling a range of club-specific Subbuteo products.

Football fans will be able to buy Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United Subbuteo teams from respective clubs.

“Having the Subbuteo products in Premiership club stores is a great way of reaching a lot of fans and really raises the game’s profile within the football community,” Paul Lamond Games’ sales director Richard Wells told ToyNews. “The hardened football supporters are passionate about branded products and therefore the licensed teams will really appeal to them. The uptake on Subbuteo in general since its relaunch in March has been brilliant.”

Subbuteo Manchester City and Celtic teams will also join the licensed range this autumn. These will have a suggested retail price of £12.95 each.

“There are plenty more new products lined up,” added Wells.

“We are confident that Subbuteo will continue to go from strength to strength. It will undoubtedly grow over the next few years and there is a genuine sports element to it.

“And as the ultimate table football game, Subbuteo is the sponsor of the Table Football World Cup which was held at the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of the Premiership champions, Manchester City, in July.

“There were around 200 players from 20 different countries there and it was a great opportunity to encourage fresh blood to the game.”
