The winners of the first ever Subbuteo Challenge Cup have been revealed.

Fans flocked to the National Football Museum in Manchester to watch Brian Dailey and Kye Arnold fight off competition in their respective categories to be crowned the first ever Subbuteo Challenge Cup champions of 2013.

Dailey took the top spot in the Senior Category, while the under 16 Arnold lifted the cup in the Junior league.

Peter Rooke, event manager, said: "Congratulations to Brian and Kye for winning the first ever Subbuteo Challenge Cup.

"The determination, skill and passion for the game was evident and they really do deserve to be crowned winers of the Senior and Junior Categories."

The free to enter Subbuteo tournament offered players aged four to 104 of all skill levels the chance to compete, playing with their own official Subbuteo table football Team Box Set.

"There was a fantastic atmosphere at the National Football in Manchester and it's been great that so many people of varying ages can come together because of their love for Subbuteo," continued Rooke.

Hasbro's Subbuteo table football is distributed in the UK by Paul Lamond Games.

Paul Lamond's sales director, Richard Wells, added: "The Subbuteo Challenge Cup is the first public Subbuteo table football tournament for nearly 20 years and we're delighted that today's final has been enjoyed by so many of the game's players.

"Brian and Kye played exceptionally well and demonstrated some superb flicking skills, and we hope they enjoy their new titles as Subbuteo Challenge Cup champions."
