SPRING FAIR 09: Business as usual

The exhibition has got off to a flying start with events taking place around the NEC and retailers and buyers making purchasing decisions from the 3,000 exhibitors present.

Keith Harris was on the Ravensden stand with Orville to launch the new Orville the Duck puppet and Gladiators Spartan and Inferno have helped draw visitors to Cesar UK’s stand to see the new range of Gladiators costumes.

Over the next few days Michael Fish will be visiting to support The Novelty Gift Company’s weather related magnets. E-commerce specialists, Sitemakers are giving twice-daily presentations and workshops in hall seven. In addition, the new product display in hall six is showing a selection of the best new products from the show.

Winners of the Spring Fair Awards were also announced this morning. Penny Kennedy, whose ranges include designs by Emma Bridgewater, won the greetings product of the year award and From Me To You was named product of
the year. Winning products are on display at the exhibition in the Piazza between Halls two and four.

There is free parking for 24,000 cars on-site, or alternatively Birmingham International station is a five-minute walk away, through an enclosed bridge link.
