Sports Stars BinWeevils campaign kicks off

Character Options encourages millions of kids to get involved in football brand.

The Sports Stars Football toy brand is running a wide-reaching campaign on the BinWeevils website.

Character Options' footie toys are being promoted in a number of ways, including allowing users to create a fantasy football team, take part in penalty shoot outs and search for Golden Boots online.

65,795 kids have already entered the player hunt, while 27,425 unique kids have taken photos with the Sports Stars team.

The Character Building Sports Stars collection includes construction play-sets and micro figures depicting top footballers (see Manchester United's David De Gea, pictured). 

Brand Manager Mark Hunt said: “The BinWeevils campaign runs for four weeks and dovetails perfectly with our print and TV schedule, ensuring that from mid-September onwards, Character Building Sports Stars will be the football figures to collect for all fans of the beautiful game.”

“The creative campaign that BinWeevils has put together is amazing and has brought out so many aspects of the brand. Over two million users will be able to join in when they visit the Character Building Sports Stars Stadium. The brand awareness created will be immense."
