Spielwarenmesse bolsters marketing team

Spielwarenmesse eG has boosted its marketing team, with the appointment of a new creative director.

Christian Medelnik (pictured) brings a raft of experience in brand communication to the organiser of Nuremberg Toy Fair. In his new role, he has been tasked with taking care of the future creative orientation of the show.

Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG, said: "Medelnik's international background of many years in brand communication and branding tremendously extends our in-house marketing expertise. This opens up totally new prospects for our future orientation."

Christian Ulrich, director of marketing for the firm, added: "The interaction of Medelnik's expertise in 360-degree communications and our market knowledge will now enable us to boost our international advertising strategy in the long-term."

As well as Nuremberg Toy Fair, Spielwarenmesse's portfolio also include the international fair programme World of Toys, with pavilions in Moscow and Hong Kong, plus the premiere of Kids India in Mumbai in October 2013.
