Publish date:

The show closed today, and the organiser has already produced attendance figures which say the fair managed to attract 79,000 visitors.

The numbers show a healthy increase on 2010, where 76,637 people made it to Nuremburg. It was anticipated that only 76,000 would visit this year.

Spielwarenmesse says the increase is a good sign that the toy industry is “still on the up.”

The organiser highlighted the increase in demand for new products. The fair’s Innovation Centre, where buyers could see an overview of new the new toys on show, was "heavily frequented".

Next year’s show will start on Wednesday, 1st February and finish on Monday 6th February. Some 87 per cent of visitors said they would return next year, as did 92 per cent of exhibitors.
