SPAIN: Famosa acquired by investment firm

Spanish toy firm Famosa has been bought by US company, Sun Capital Partners.

US-based Sun has wholly acquired the firm from Vista Capital. Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory approval.

In 2005, Vista Capital bought up 100 per cent of Famosa for €130m.

Following the acquisition by Vista, the business acquired Grupo Feber and plush specialist Play by Play.
