Sony Global Education has announced its new educational kit known as Koov.

The program offers kids the chance to learn more on robotoics and programming, and marks the first offering in Sony’s STEM101 curriculum, which was announced last autumn.

Koov is a kit made up of blocks and a microcontroller, which can be built into any shape, with the final figure capable of being controlled as a robot.

The kit has been designed to encourage children to play by building with seven kinds of blocks, code by controlling the figure using program software and create new figures using their imagination.

To develop the kit, Sony partnered with Japanese firm Artec, and are set to release Koov during the summer this year.
