SmarTrike is "overwhelmed" with the news that it was the only outdoor toy to make the top ten list of the most popular toys sold in the UK last year, according to The NPD Group.

The firm's patented touch steering and innovative swivel wheel offers riders a smooth experience and most recently their magic button has advanced the product again.

"We were overwhelmed to have made this enviable position," said Yael Biegun-Chen, vice president of global marketing at smarTrike.

"The top ten comprises a truly select group of fantastic toys and we are proud to be included. We understand that technology toys will continue to grow, but we are passionate about engaging the youngest generation with the great outdoors and will continue to develop our product range to deliver the most advanced trikes that promise the very best ride for little ones to explore.

"It is great to learn that our hard work is paying off and that a smarTrike, was one of the ten most popular toys chosen by families in the UK last year. We hope to continue this into 2015 and beyond."
