Shopkins is making its move into board games and wheeled toys in its latest swathe of licensing partnerships.
The popular brand has bagged a raft of new deals with MV Sports and Leisure and Goliath to introduce a collection of themed bikes, scooters and games.
The Shopkins brand shot to fame earlier this year, fuelled by an online presence that has seen over 20 million hits on the official Shopkins YouTube Channel as well as over 420 million views on fan videos.
Bulldog Licensing reports that retailers across the UK are already seeing ‘enormous sales of the new series two characters, alongside its burgeoning portfolio of licensed goods.’
The new deals see MV Sports and Leisure release a collection of themed bikes and scooters, while Goliath joins with a range of board games, which will be distributed in the UK by John Adams.
“Shopkins is a huge character brand, kids can’t get enough of them and this is translating into a massive licensing presence,” said Rob Corney, Bulldog Group MD.
“We are speaking with every major retailer in the UK to build specific packages to continue the brand growth and drive sales and are hugely excited for the future of Shopkins, having seen the 2016 lines at the recent Distoy.”
