The scheme, which is to be made available for other major retailers at Toy Fair aims to create specific specialist Schleich centres which hold the full range of figurines and accessories and will be the first to stock much awaited new ranges.
Gary Wilmot, sales manager of Schleich commented: “We intend to make the scheme available to any retailer who is able to dedicate specific amounts of attention and floor space to the brand. But so that all retailers will feel the benefit we are able to tailor the package down to different sizes too.”
New stands, display units and point of sale materials are available to stores joining the scheme but in addition other incentives will be part of the package such as educational programmes in their local area, and further PR incentives.
Steven Sansom, chairman of Dominoes said: “As we are the inaugural Schleich Store in Store there has obviously been a lot to arrange but the professionalism and individual attention we have received from Gary and the UK team has been great.
“The Schleich area of Dominoes is now the focal point of our store and the response from the public has been fantastic. It’s really heart-warming to see the children and their parents paying so much attention to the figures and displays. Our rate of ordering has already increased and we are confident that with the help of the Schleich PR team that footfall will increase still further in months to come”
