Schleich has confirmed the appointment of Jeremy Robinson to the role of UK country manager.

Robinson (pictured) takes over from Gary Wilmot and has previously held senior sales positions at Tomy and Bluw.

"I am thrilled to be joining Schleich UK," said Robinson. "This is a world renowned brand that has a solid history of producing the finest quality play figures for children and is a company I have admired for many years.

"The months and years ahead represent a great challenge for me and I look forward to using the years of experience I have gained in the toy industry in making a real difference to Schleich's UK operation."

Sören Hjorth, VP sales at Schleich, added: "Following Schleich's acquisition by private investment company Ardian, the new management of the company is setting ambitious goals for international sales growth, backed by exciting plans to expand the company's product ranges. Jeremy Robinson has been recruited to realise the sales potential."
