The sixth series will be in high definition CGI Animation and will also introduce plots involving the previously unseen and unmentioned Pontypandy coastline and Neptune, a new lifeboat. It is currently in production until January 2009 and delivery will commence in May 2008.

Since acquiring 100% of Fireman Sam from its original partners, S4C in March 2007 HIT Entertainment has teamed up with London-based Hibbert Ralph Animation (HRTV) who in turn has joined forces with Beijing based animation studio Xing Xing, to produce the brand new series.

Lenora Hume, EVP Programming & Production said “We are thrilled to be working with HRTV, a highly skilled and experienced studio and can’t wait to bring Fireman Sam back to our screens in this exciting new format.”
