Sally Durcan and The Family Playtime Blog Brunch: A day for bloggers and brands alike

A recent study conducted by the BBC highlighted how parents are suffering a crisis of confidence when it comes to playing with their children.

Back in 2014, meanwhile, a survey highlighted that over 2000 UK parents would welcome expert help on how to play with their children.

We have since decided to ask, what other worries keep parents up at night? Our own research supports existing reports that the top five parental worries, include: family safety and security, emotional wellbeing, weight and wellness, new media tech and money.

These have all been cited as areas that prohibit or inhibit playtime.

But there is a solution, and here at Talk To Mums, our goal is to help make parents’ lives easier, giving them more time together and help kids develop mentally and socially as well as create stronger family bonds.

That’s why we are excited to introduce this year’s Family Playtime Blog Brunch, a fun and memorable event chock full of great content, learning, networking and activities.

Taking place on Saturday, October 10thin a London venue still to be confirmed, the event is open to a handpicked group of established parent bloggers and their families, with the focus on family playtime.

Family Playtime is all about how we make family life more fun and reduce the stress that parents have that stops playtime happening.

This year’s event will open with a guest speaker highlighting top tips and tricks on creating natural play together while parent bloggers will share examples of photos and stories about what they have done to achieve successful playtime experiences.

Of course, as this is a family event, we will be providing entertainment for your youngsters, with kids’ zones placed around the venue, where brands will be showcasing toys, tech and entertainment for children to engage with and parents to learn about.

Kids attending will be invited to dress up in a Halloween themed costume for a chance to win a prize and listen to spooky tales from our resident storyteller.

But back to the stage, and we will be tackling the issues of child safety online as well as exploring how we can use gaming and tech to educate kids, showing examples of how kids can learn from this interactive experience.

Essentially, the whole event is a great opportunity to connect with other bloggers, share tales, find people to collaborate with and share experiences in the chill out area while meeting brands, editors and other industry experts.

We already have over 20 bloggers signed up to attend the event, including ET Speaks from Home, In the Playroom, Modern Mums Guide and Red Nose Mummy.

We are now looking for brands to join us for the day of fun.

Companies can get involved by being an event sponsor, exhibitor or an attendee. Event sponsors will sponsor the family play zone and or other parts of the event with a speaking opportunity.

Meanwhile, exhibitors will showcase their brands via a show and experience or you can attend the event to network and learn from the content. The prices start from £300.

We have an early bird discount for the exhibitors available until August 31st, savng £400 off the normal price. Fee is £1000. £3000 for a brand sponsor and £300 as an attendee.

We are here to facilitate the development of great relationships between bloggers and brands. Talk to Mums is all about bringing brands and mums together in fun and interesting ways.
