STEM toy and girls’ construction set start-up Roominate has launched a new rPower app.

The app allows girls to program and control their Roominate builds through a phone or tablet.

From their phone or tablet, girls will be able to turn lights on and off and control the speed and direction of motors on their creations.

Last month, Roominate raised over $1million in funding in order to distribute its new range of building kits.

The US toy firm, created by female engineer Alice Brooks in order to encourage girls top pursue the sciences, received the funding from numerous investors, including iD Ventures America.
