Roominate – the US team behind the building kits for girls – has launched a campaign to encourage girls to ‘be whatever they want when they grow up.’

The social media campaign has been kickstarted to coincide with National Take Our Daughter and Sons to Work Day in the US.

“This is the perfect time to remind girls that they have the power to build their future and that no career is off limits,” said the firm.

The campaign arrives in the form of a #LetGirlsBuild video, a montage of real world females in the workspace, including doctors, architects, engineers and more and features a voiceover from a six year old girl.

Roominate was founded by STEM advocates and engineers, Alice Brooks and Bettina Chen who launched the company with the aim of encouraging girls to follow the STEM subjects.
